So, debating whether this is an ER trip or not. I have so much inflammation in my sinuses that I can't breathe, even with tons of menthol, taking a dose of aspirin, taking an antihistamine medication (just in case it was allergies), and my Albuterol Sulfate inhaler. I don't have rescue medications or steroids. The only PRN I have is gabapentin or hydroxyzine (Atarax). This is day four or five, and it has progressively worsened.
I am on Medicaid, so ER is covered 100%, thankfully.
You should go ahead on to the ER. Don’t continue to suffer. If you’re on immunosuppressants you already know our bodies need extra help when it comes to fighting infections; OTC alone just won’t cut it. You need antibiotics.
I'm glad that you are being proactive and getting emergency help! If you don't have one already, a pulse oximeter might be useful for checking/tracking your oxygen saturation. I hope that everything goes smoothly for you and that you recover quickly!
