I'm seeking ideas for procedures to relieve chronic upper back pain and neuralgia. I've had this chronic thoracic pain (right-sided only) for about 6 years now. Onset was sudden with no obvious trauma and therefore cause is unknown but attributed to intercostal neuralgia/neuropathy. I've had two nerve blocks (which gave some relief but only for about 12 weeks each) and radiofrequency ablation (which made my pain significantly worse). I'm hoping someone here might've had a particular procedure that successfully provided relief, even if only partial. I really can't keep living like this ๐Ÿ˜”

Some people have found temporary relief from nerve block procedures, but the pain often returns after 2-3 weeks. Others have tried physical therapy, TENS, and even surgeries, but with varying degrees of success. One person mentioned using a heating pad as a helpful tool for managing their pain. However, it's important to note that what works for one person may not work for another, and it's crucial to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new treatment.
