Hi there. I’ve been diagnosed with occipital neuralgia and chronic migraine. I had some occipital nerve decompression surgeries/ procedures done in 2020, which helped. And I am working on my hormones to help with menstrual migraines. Has anyone found relief elsewhere? I am going to try botox again. My nerves reacted badly last time, but that was a while ago. Acupuncture didn’t help.

I have acceptable neuralgia also. I'm going in for a nerve block for the 1st time soon. A lot of the symptoms I have are manageable. Well I won't say manageable but at least I'm functional and can go to work. I just deal with the pain. Nothing really helps so far except far except for telling myself to chill out.

I was just diagnosed with occipital neuralgia and chronic migraines this year. I had suffered from shocks since I was seven years old, starting at the back left side of my head to the top of my head and was just now diagnosed with this after years of suffering from it. I had a procedure done about a month ago for a diagnosis. I am currently taking Amitriptyline. So far it has helped me with my anxiety and migraines. I will be seeing the neurologist next month and talk about doing the actual procedure. I am supposed to have a nerve blocker injected into the back of my head every few months. I also suffer from other health conditions but this is one of the most painful conditions I'm currently going through.

The pain can get bad comes and goes at different times today has been awful up in the head like someone putting pressure on the top of your head. Of course my neck is stiff and hurts where I think the nerves are. I was seeing a neurologist is that the pain medicine you’re on from a neurologist
