Any tips or advice on ARFID, and what food I could try when I’m struggling. I haven’t been formally diagnosed yet but I’m trying to. As of recent I am struggling to eat anything, the smell, texture and fear of vomiting is really prominent right now. My safe food (for the past 10yr) is even difficult to eat right now. Any suggestions would help. Thanks 🙂

"Eating with other people can help, even if it's over the phone. Getting on a routine can also be beneficial. Focusing on safe foods is another strategy; these can change frequently depending on personal experiences with different foods. Apple sauce and tuna are examples of safe foods for some individuals. Another approach is to make a list of fear foods and focus on one at a time, having that one every few days or whenever the opportunity arises. Once you become comfortable enough with it, move on to the next one. For discomfort in the beginning of eating more, a heated stuffed animal was recommended. Eating more frequent smaller meals and slowly cutting down to 3 full sized meals can help expand your stomach."
