Struggling to Eat: Anyone Else?

I’m trying so hard to eat. I WANT to eat but I can’t manage to get anything down. And only certain types of food sound good. Is anybody else struggling with this?

I have this issue because of allergies and a food processing disorder that makes me feel sick after eating. I stick to what I call my "safe foods" and thats all I have. For me, that's plain white rice, rice noodles, and ground chicken. Honestly, tru to eat whatever you can whenever you can and be gentle on yourself💕

That makes sense. I deal with what’s called Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). I have certain “safe foods” that I stick to so I just try to keep those on hand always. I like things like trail mix to keep me going throughout the day.

Oh definitely, i experience that almost daily, i have options for food that just,, it's like i can imagine eating them and that they wont satisfy me or taste the right way or that they'll make me sick. So mainly i just stick to snacks to fill me up, maybe you could try that? I personally have an easier time relying on snacks that i know taste good, dont have to be made or anything and you can eat as much as you want or need

I have a significant amount of allergies and over the years as I am more and more limited I have just had such a hard time finding something to eat and I think it has formed into a sort of anorexia (I have not been diagnosed yet) but only things like a specific brand of cookie and specific brand of chips. I’m limited to mostly chicken and turkey for meat and you can only have the same thing everyday. Now I will go days with only taking small bites here and there. I will make myself a meal and stare at it for 20 min before I can bring myself to eat it. Let alone being able to keep food down when I eat it.
