First post-op follow-up appointment today 10 days after tissue removal. I forgot to ask all the questions I’ve been thinking about all week (should’ve wrote ‘em down) because I got more news that just distracted me greatly, that my doctor also found PCOS and removed fibroids. So i find myself getting upset now, thinking back to how I’ve named all the symptoms of fibroids (heavy bleeding, pelvic pressure and pain for years, lower backache on left side only, frequent urination with no UTIs, pain emptying bladder, et freaking cetera) all of which i mentioned to so many doctors about and not a one of them has mentioned fibroids or Endo or PCOS. I am just left with that feeling of disappointment and confusion around how did so many doctors get this wrong and I just suffered for so long. I am finally with less pelvic pressure and less pelvic/bladder pains now post-op and very grateful my biopsy results came back as benign. Having my usual premenstrual cramps for two days before period is expected to start and cramps have been just as bad post-op as they were pre-op; I hope this can and does change later. Today i was instructed to try Orlissa. Super nervous to see how this med will or won’t work (only one way to find out right), i have not been on any hormone or birth control pills in almost 10 years. Too bad i forgot to ask the doctor my questions so i just sent a message to the doctors office asking some questions and about my leave of absence paperwork. If anyone feels like sharing a personal experience or insight or feedback or support i would totally appreciate it very much right now. Much love

Well I’m scheduled for a full scraping next mnth. It’s called a D&C Procedure- so I hope this will help with Menstrual Flow and pain.. anyone had this done before?

Hi @Pisces2022 I had a robotic assisted laparoscopic excision of endometriosis and uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts. So sorry you have to wait to see a gyne while in pain - don’t give up on your search for a doctor that cares. May I suggest reading thru patient reviews on Zocdoc and also can join Nancy’s Nook on Facebook to search for some doctors in some states

Oh my gosh. I ended up in hopsital for pain this past Saturday- so much pain that radiates to my legs- groin area felt numb. Complex endometrial hyperplasia without atypia was what I was diagnosed with.. and they put me on Medroxyprogesterone and I started my period after day 10 of taking it and it was super painful of course I ended up in ER- I’ need help to know which direction should I go- my doctor sucks too- but no Gyno seems to see you same day- everyone has a 2 mnth waiting period. Pls help.

I had two “normal” ultrasounds before my surgery nobody could see the fibroid causing me so much pain and pressure or the endo or the cysts so please just know if you end up with “clear/normal” sonogram results, that just means there must be another way to find the source of your pain

Hi @Chloex The physician that did my surgery is my new gynecologist, and they happened to propose endometriosis symptoms before I did based on my reported chronic symptoms during our first appointment - this was after I already met five gynecologists in the last ten years before this one and not a one of them seemed to care enough to help me find the source of my pain or go over my symptoms in detail to offer a surgica treatment option so my latest gyne is my greatest gyne so far, and it took me a lot of searching thru patients reviews on Zocdoc to look for some people talking about being treated for endo

@WhatADay gosh I’m having the same issue. I visited 3 gynecologists in almost 3 years and no one is helping me. I have an appointment coming up where I will request a sonogram Bc this is ridiculous now. Glad you got help!

What finally made your doctor take what you were saying seriously? I have told the gyno 3 times my symptoms and they have just said it’s in my head or that maybe I should try therapy. Like? I’m all for Therapy but this is 100% an actual issue happening that needs more then talk therapy for me.
