Dealing with Endometriosis Pain: My Laparoscopy Experience

I have dealt with painful cycles my entire life and finally convinced a doctor to do a laparoscopy on me Wednesday. I was so hopeful to be getting some answers and possibly relief after years of fighting doctors one finally believed me.. nothing was found on my uterus or any other organs. The only thing they said is possibly adenomyosis cause my uterus was squishy. How can I be in this much pain, on my third period of the month and nothings there? I just want to give up, I’m so defeated, my body won another round.

I got results back and gynecologist said she seen a cell overgrowth inside uterine lining and gave me options and I took the hormone therapy 3 mnths Medroxyprogesterone 10mg but 4 times daily option. So after 3 mnths I’ll be doing a full scraping D&C. I’m on day 10 on Medroxyprogesterone and just started spotting today and just with spotting pain is excruciating and making me feel dizzy.

I have that many women have to fight to convince doctors to get them help. I'm in the same boat. This Friday I hope to bring my husband to my gyno appointment so that he can back me up if needed to get my Dr onboard with surgery. I am afraid of them not finding anything either, because I also suffer from lupus-like chronic Lyme disease. My sister having the same endometriosis issued does give me hope though that it won't be all for nothing.
