First post-op follow-up appointment today 10 days after tissue removal. I forgot to ask all the questions I’ve been thinking about all week (should’ve wrote ‘em down) because I got more news that just distracted me greatly, that my doctor also found PCOS and removed fibroids. So i find myself getting upset now, thinking back to how I’ve named all the symptoms of fibroids (heavy bleeding, pelvic pressure and pain for years, lower backache on left side only, frequent urination with no UTIs, pain emptying bladder, et freaking cetera) all of which i mentioned to so many doctors about and not a one of them has mentioned fibroids or Endo or PCOS. I am just left with that feeling of disappointment and confusion around how did so many doctors get this wrong and I just suffered for so long. I am finally with less pelvic pressure and less pelvic/bladder pains now post-op and very grateful my biopsy results came back as benign. Having my usual premenstrual cramps for two days before period is expected to start and cramps have been just as bad post-op as they were pre-op; I hope this can and does change later. Today i was instructed to try Orlissa. Super nervous to see how this med will or won’t work (only one way to find out right), i have not been on any hormone or birth control pills in almost 10 years. Too bad i forgot to ask the doctor my questions so i just sent a message to the doctors office asking some questions and about my leave of absence paperwork. If anyone feels like sharing a personal experience or insight or feedback or support i would totally appreciate it very much right now

Hello, I hope that you are doing well. After reading your post I had to look up PCOS, and discovered that my symptoms match. I've known that I have fibroids for years, but they were small last time I had any imaging done, which was three years ago. I just had another pelvic ultrasound today so I'm nervously waiting on the results of that. I feel like they may have gotten larger as I feel some pressure on my bladder. I understand how you feel about confusion and disappointment. I be mentioned all these symptoms and feel like my concerns have been somewhat brushed aside or just written off as oh, you're just approaching menopause so deal with it. Pending the results of today's imaging I may have to discuss the possibility of PCOS with my Doc, and I think it's about time I go see a GYN instead of just my PCP.
