Why is my phone battery always on red?

Does anyone else’s body feel like a cell phone whose battery is constantly on red and you could have sworn you charged it overnight but the charger is frayed at the connector with all those annoying silver wires sticking out and didn’t you have like 4 other ones laying around somewhere? but you can’t find them so should you buy a new one but then what if you do find all the other ones? and why is Spotify and Apple Maps still draining you in the background when you closed those apps already and low battery mode doesn’t work and everything you need to do requires your phone but should you keep using it or turn it off for an emergency?and then you get excited you have a text but it’s just another spam because really you don’t have any friends to text you so you open and close Instagram for the tenth time for no reason and when you go to Amazon to buy a new charger you end up putting a bunch of other unnecessary things in your cart instead because $30 for a new charger is too much but $60 for vegan keto snacks is fine because it’s healthy right? And I’m sure these won’t taste horrible like all the other ones and you’re going to get skinny and eat better but then your package never even arrives and it’s one more errand that goes on your list that gives you anxiety because you hate talking to those people on the phone trying to get your money back and anyway your phone is about to die so maybe you should just forget it?
