I am so tired of every time I go to get in my car. I have to put my phone, keys (push-start), and wallet in same order in my center console. Before I leave I have to look at and feel the surface of each of those three items. And I don't stop repeating "phone, keys, wallet" until it just feels right at that specific moment. Also, settings have to be very specific when I get in and out of my vehicle. My windows better be perfect, seats all up and aligned, and there better not be any trash or dust. I'm driving myself crazy. (no pun intended) 😫😉

@Alpine I can definitely relate with the lights one. I'm always checking it. Even after I've turned my car off. I'll close my driver door, peak through window (I'll see the lights are off), and then proceed to open my door again and check 3 times.
I make sure all my lights are off & windshield wipers are off multiple times. I check lights, even though I can see that they are off I turn them off & on over & over. Sometimes I speak outloud "off" "on" "off" "on". I push against my car doors just to make sure they are closed even though I can obviously see that they are. I make sure my car is in park soooo many times which if it's not moving obviously its in park but my brain doesn't care.

Know OCD well,and even with meds,it never disappoints on fucking up a good day....... . the best advice i can give,is try not to beat yourself up over it,nobody is born wanting this shit,try to stop in your tracks/routine,simply walk away,(of course the intense uneasiness will appear,with the urge to stop and fix the routine before it's too late),but keep walking,and say to yourself "i can do this,what i'm doing is not normal,this is not my fault". hopefully this helps.
@MisterShadow thank you. I really appreciate it. ❤️🙏😊
@Ann22 Your very welcome 🙂
