Does anyone find nicotine actually benefits their schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorder? I read nicotine helps normalize the brain, but I refuse to use tobacco products I just use Zyn nicotine pouches. Don’t smoke guys or chew tobacco because I said this please I don’t want to influence you.

@Todd6521 me too, weed has done wonders for me
I smoke cigars and vape with nicotine ejuice and it really helps me with my schizophrenia symptoms. I've read articles about how researchers are experimenting with a new medication that has nicotine as an active ingredient and is taken via a nasal spray. Also, back when I used to be a psychology major, I did a project on schizophrenia and learned that most people who have schizophrenia smoke in order to alleviate some symptoms of their medications. Even though I regularly use nicotine, I do not advise anyone to start using nicotine as it is an addictive chemical and carries other health consequences.
