so i'm currently diagnosed with BPD and MDD, but after a psych eval a couple months ago, i'm suspected to have schizo affective disorder or something on the schizophrenia spectrum due to hallucinations and other psychotic symptoms- at that point i was smoking weed every couple weeks and the psychologist seemed worried that this was causing these symptoms. ((i really don't think they are, i've had them way longer than i've been using any sort of cannabis)) has anyone found that using cannabis helps them feel LESS paranoid?? i almost feel like i have hallucinations less when i do these things, OR they become more tolerable in a way. regardless, i don't think that cannabis is making them worse at all

Some individuals with schizoaffective disorder or similar conditions have reported that cannabis can help them feel less paranoid or make their hallucinations more tolerable. However, others have experienced increased paranoia and worsening of symptoms when using cannabis. The effects of cannabis on mental health can vary greatly from person to person, so it is important to discuss your specific situation with a mental health professional.
