I don't know about the neck spasms but the shoulder pain is a regular occurrence for me, as well as my arms and hands hurting and my fingers going numb while asleep. I can't sleep flat on my back even with my cpap machine because I suffocate. On either side and the arm in the lower position hurts and falls asleep.

Sorry for your pain. I recently watched a video by Eric Berg DC. YouTube. It was on shoulder pain because my left one has been really bad. He said push on your gallbladder below your lower rib on right side. I did and pain went away for abit. It is a gallbladder issue most of the time he said. Crazy sounding I would have never thought it. So I've been trying to detox.

I sleep on my side. I have a very small pillow that fits under my neck. Eric Berg DC has videos on issues like this that have helped me alot.
