What Was Your Experience Like?

Like the disorder overall or something specific like switching? Overall for me it often feels like living with my friend or friends constantly in the same room. Other times when I'm not the one fronting it'll be like dreaming, where when I wake up I can remember bits and pieces of the dream but there's still large chunks missing that may take me a while to remember or that I won't remember at all. I don't remember much about my childhood or life before DID so I don't really have a gauge for what life was like without it. But for me it simply always has just been sharing a body back and forth between me and four other people, even when I wasn't aware the disorder existed and just thought I was mental.
