How do people not feel hurt about people saying and questioning rude things about traumatic events on this app and in life?

2 things: 1) Arm yourself with knowledge, & 2) Know & trust yourself, & realize that most negativity people spew usually has nothing to do with U & everything to do with them, how they see the world, their ignorance(i.e., lack of knowledge), how they view others, & how they see & feel about themselves. Make yourself impervious to bullying by knowing that U know yourself way better than what anyone else may think of you or any trauma or other situation U’ve been through in life. They weren’t there, they aren’t U, they don’t live inside your body & mind, & they can not definitively say what they hypothetically may or may not do in any circumstances they’ve not experienced personally. Their opinion & judgments, therefore, are entirely irrelevant, &, unless explicitly solicited, also unwarranted, unnecessary & unhelpful. Just ignore them, or shut down their ignorance with your knowledge & understanding. They cannot argue with facts. Well, they can, but they’ll only end up looking ill-informed and foolish, lol. ;-P :-)

Some people suggest setting boundaries and being direct with those who bring up triggering topics. They emphasize the importance of protecting one's mental health, even if it means walking away from a conversation or situation that is causing distress. Others find it easier to ignore rude remarks from strangers as they do not know the real situation or the person involved. However, dealing with such comments from family members can be more challenging.
