Struggling to Help My Boyfriend with Depression

I am feeing really awful. Ever since February, my bf’s depression has gotten worse and worse and worse. Like he knows he’s getting worse but he’s not searching for treatment. I’ve tried everything to help him and nothing works. I feel like the worst girlfriend in the world, feeing like I’m just sitting back and doing nothing. And what’s worse is I’ve been crying nonstop since midnight and couldn’t sleep

      He has to want to help himself too.. you can’t take responsibility for his depression or happiness. You do all you can to ease it and to support him but you have to care for you as well. Sometimes seeing the one you love take care of themselves more motivates the other to do better for themselves. I am here if you need to talk💕

      You can only do so much sweetheart. He has to want to help himself. As an empath and healer I’d want to help or “fix” the situation and that’s not the proper way unfortunately. You can’t take responsibility for his depression/happiness or anything like that because it’s not fair to you. You’ll never feel like it’s enough. Just support him the best you can. I know it’s hard but you got this. Stay strong. ☺️

        @cottagedaisy as I grew up, I realized that whatever task I was put up with, it’s never good enough and I have to go above and beyond.
