I have a gastric and sacral stimulator and it works wonders!!! Before I had it placed, I had extreme nausea, abdominal pain, and vomiting along with many other symptoms of my other diagnoses! Now I have no pain, no nausea, no vomiting, and I am able to eat. My GI doctor now is the creator of the gastric stimulator and he is INCREDIBLE!!! I highly recommend the gastric stimulator if it is what you need!!

Idk if your mom is concerned about finances?? Idk she sounds hesitant about something new. It might be a hard conversation, but worth checking on. Some insurance company's don't cover certain things. Also I know it can be hard for my mom to hear all of my issues, she thinks she could be to blame(which I tell her she's not, but that's what moms do sometimes) I definitely had to advocate for myself starting out. My parents didn't even know I was sick until I came home with a diagnosis lol I chose my treatments and medications with my doctor. It's a work in progress always, but now I just tell my parents "this is what we're trying and it may or may not work" My parents are still involved really with my health. So again I just make my own appts, do my own thing. I dont think anyone truly understands chronic nausea and vomiting until you're dx with something that causes it. I know I definitely did not before. Also your mom could be scared for you and sometimes people avoid a topic because they're scared, worried, etc. People can become defensive, upset, or ignore the issue. Also if treatments in the past haven't worked, some people lose hope. Although you haven't, she could be shutting you down. If you're able to discuss options with your Dr. And then discuss them with your mom. Maybe she'll open up a bit more. Idk if any of this helps. Good luck 😊
