it feels unbearable. feels like everything i do or say is hurtful even when i try so damn hard not to. the pain feels so much. i don’t know what to do. i feel like i’m headed towards a serious spiral at the end of my gap year that was specifically to get better mentally for school in the fall and now i’m just about to lose my shit. there’s really no point to this post i’m sorry i just need to put it somewhere

Agreed ^ don’t be hard on yourself. These are things we can only do so much and it IS difficult so don’t apologize. You’re already on the right path by expressing your feelings, being honest with yourself and being open to help / advice. That’s step 1. You just gotta find what works for you. I think hurtful words via depression come from our frustration of everything in our head. Just remember to control yourself in those moments and if you can’t just apologize and explain you’re working on it / going through stuff. Try therapy + medication or therapy alone. Depression gets our mental secretary basically gone and disorganizes our life which can be worse when we want to fix it. I’d focus on 2 things: find what motivates you, FEED IT (hobbies, social life, listening to music) and find resources to help you ORGANIZE and form a strategy to get you back on track for school (guardian, counselor, therapist, meds, friend, planner, alarms) lastly again don’t be hard on yourself. Things like this take time but we can do a lot more than we think to help ourselves ❤️

I’m sorry you feel this way, but don’t be so hard on yourself! Dealing with mental health is a process, and taking a break for yourself is a good thing allowing yourself time to heal more, but if you feel like you need more time you can always go back to school anytime, your health matters most.
