Also, if you restrict yourself from food, you are going to binge eventually. It is inevitable and it turns into a painful cycle. Teach yourself to eat freely what you want and when you want. You might eat a lot at first because of how much you’ve been depriving yourself and I know that can be terrifying. But just continue and eventually you’ll have a perfectly healthy relationship with food. If you restrict then your mind will make you binge.

Your weight has nothing to do with if you have an ED or not. If you find it scary to eat or feel immense guilt you do not have the healthy relationship with food you deserve. The line between dieting and developing an ED is a blurry one and it’s often hard not to cross it. You deserve to eat what you like and not feel bad. You deserve to not count calories. Enjoy your life and don’t let your eating disorder control you.

I don't count calories anymore. I just eat only enough not to be hungry [when I do feel hungry]
It’s okay to feel that way. Eating is good as scary as it is. Do keep eating the rest of the day and the next days. Even if the ED tells you not to. EDs are vicious with how they make you feel and what they do to you. You are stronger. Yes I know this is all easier said than done. It takes time and help.
@Nesta i don’t even know if i have a ED cause i’m overweight :( but the ways i think about food aren’t healthy :( thank you for responding, it really made me feel like a friend is there.

@Cvprisun you can have an ED at any weight. The whole emphasis on weight is horrible and deadly it makes you think you’re not sick enough for help but you are. Is there any provider you can trust to talk to about this?
