Hi, I am 24 and with Cystic Fibrosis. I am struggling with my mental. I am personally just wondering if anyone has any advice on dating or just being with someone? Never had a girlfriend and feel because of my condition I can't. Feels stupid

Hi there! I get how you feel a lot of the time it feels overwhelming to have CF and have to juggle everything else going on. I'm 20 years old and I've been in a relationship with my boyfriend now for almost two years. When we first started talking I was very nervous to tell him about my CF and how he would react. When I told him I made sure to explain it very thoroughly and sent him a bunch of information about it. I don't know if I have any clear cut advice but I hope I can help you a little bit. Sometimes I think that I don't want to burden him and that my CF is too much but he is always so supportive and their for me. One thing that helped me a lot was when I realized that everyone has their own story and own problems they have to fight through. Before I got into a relationship I always thought I would be a burden and my CF would get in the way but honestly it never does. And it's nice having another person their to help support you when you are sick or something. The only thing I would say is the toughest with it is that it is kind of hard to really explain what CF is and all the different things you have to do. But as long as you communicate and explain everything I think you will be okay!
