Dating with Chronic Illness: Is it Possible?

Obviously in this age of Covid, dating is difficult in general. I’m scared I’m not going to be able to find someone that can see past the limitations this disease puts on me (and that potential significant other as well). Part of me also feels guilty asking someone to take on everything that inherently comes along with mcas (and chronic illness in general). I’ve been told just to worry about my health, and it IS my priority. I miss the companionship of a significant other though, and I don’t see why the two need to be mutually exclusive 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s so hard for me too. I never know when to bring it up, and how she will react to hear about my mcas

I know that’s true. I guess I just wonder if those people are on dating apps which is what I have access to for right now

Find someone who is able to see that there is more to you than your illness. To the right person, it won’t matter.

I don’t have any advice - I’ve been in my relationship longer than I’ve had the symptoms. But when you find the right person they will definitely not mind your limitations :)
