I take Effexor 150mg and I've noticed it slowly not working anymore. I just got a new bottle of it and it's like it suddenly stopped working completely. Is this possible or do you think my stress of money issues and a million other things can make it just not work? I truly have no idea what to do right now. I'm feeling so hopeless.

I have been on 150mg of Effexor for years. I am just now going go have my dose upped to 225mg because I don't think it's working as well anymore. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Definitely talk to your doctor about it. A psychiatrist if you have access to one. I've had this happen several times with several meds.

It's possible for a med to stop working. Sometimes you need a higher dose to kick it back into gear, or switch meds all together and come back to it a few years later.

i would just talk to your doctor about it so they can decide whether to make adjustments or just switch meds. and even find things to help with money issues you might be having regarding medicine. this happened to me with prozac it kinda just stopped working when i got super stressed. i understand the hopeless feeling completely. but there is another medicine out there that will work for you and could even work longer!!! donā€™t lose hope i know itā€™s hard and itā€™s easier said than done but you got this! changing medicines can be hard but once it starts kicking in you get that HUGE relief! so hold on! i know how it feels! just make sure to talk to your doctor or psychiatrist, whoever you see thatā€™s a medical professional. prayers!
