I have been experiencing bouts of ventricular tachycardia and pvcs for a few years now, often reaching 270 bpm. I have only recently been diagnosed from an er visit when it wouldn't slow down for about an hour I have been unable to determine what the causes it to occur. I have been scheduled for a radio frequency ablation, however I have been told that I need to be experiencing pvcs or v-tach for them to be able to map out the heart and ablate the correct spot. but I sometimes go a week at a time without an occurrence. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I have had PVCs for my entire life, the cause has never been determined. During my ablations they stimulated my heart to try to put it into vtach so they could map it and they were successful. I imagine they will do that for you as well. At the time of my surgeries I was having vtach very sporadically also.

I started having pvcs in 2018 was given beta blocker and couldn't take it , gave me a Calcium channel blocker that kept them away until last year. Even after stopping the calcium blocker. Came back after getting covid and a stressful situation this year. Sometimes they catch them if I go to ER some times they don't. Its frustrating.
