Hi! I have paroxysmal a-fib (vagal-mediated) that was dx’d by a very knowledgeable doc after having sx for 30yrs. I underwent an ablation using cutting-edge tech less than a year ago. I’m much better but have some sx my surgeon can’t explain. Looking to talk with anyone else that’s had ablations.

I have had 2 ablations and a pacemaker. 1st ablation 2 years ago. Pacemaker 1 1/2 years ago and 2nd ablation 1 month ago. The 2nd ablation was easier that the first.

@Ceig I’m scheduled to have my first ablation in September. What was your experience? Sounds scary to me.

@Mary_Jill Believe me I was scared to death. There is hardly any recovery period. Just be very careful with the entry site. You don’t want it to start bleeding. I have had three ablations but my Afib returned each time but now it only happens about every two weeks. That’s very unusual. I had a pace maker put in on August 3rd. My heart rate was dropping at night to sometimes to 35. I only have Afib at night now. Very strange. The last two days my lowest heart rate has been 60. I can sure tell the difference. I hope the pacemaker makes a big difference. Good luck 🍀 Look forward to getting it done because if it works you will be back to your old self.
