      @punklovetee7 I get you. My mom is the same way. She was a young mother herself so I think she just doesn't know how to give Positive criticism. Just worry about you and you'll succeed. Your an adult now make your own choices, they will follow if they care.

      My parents do this too and at the end of the day you have to just be there for yourself. Do things that will help you succeed that'll prove them wrong. Nothing feels better than proving them wrong.

      The best thing you can do for yourself, you have already done. You see it. I just turned 40 and it took me until last year to realize how damaging my parents were to me getting further in life. Every turn they either didn't help at all or were right there throwing a curveball to make it harder. I don't know how old you are, but know that this is YOUR life and you have to do whats best for you. Make choices and seek opportunities that don't require them to be involved at all and don't EVER let them guilt trip you into thinking choosing you FIRST is wrong.
