How do you deal with the "it's not fair, what did I do to deserve this" thoughts?

I always try to remind myself that good can always come out of a bad situation, you just have to go after whatever hope you can find. Sometimes I’ll have to force myself to take me out of the equation, since sometimes there’s nothing you could’ve done to make a situation turn out better. What’s in the past can’t be changed, so keep thinking positively about what can come from it. It’s definitely difficult sometimes, but it’s worth it :)

Listen to Kristen neff on self compassion. I find my heart feels better when I notice my suffering and offer myself compassion, and recognize that suffering is a universal state. That way I become more tender and kind to myself and others instead of bitter and depressed.
