I know this is the corniest shit to hear sometimes, but I try to find gratitude in what I can. If literally everything else is falling apart, at least the sun is out, and sunshine makes me happy. If it feels too hard to even get out of bed, I’m grateful to have a home and a bed to keep me safe. If the relationships around me are crumbling, I’m grateful towards those who are with me (or even someone online to share a conversation with) these things are so so so small and may sound silly but sometimes a simple shift in your mindset even for a moment can really help you to digest everything and have a steady foot going forward (other honorable mentions that help me are meditating, reading (either stories to escape, or nonfiction self help books are good sometimes), and rewarding myself when something good happens or a finish a goal, hopefully that’s helpful)💗💗💗 sending love and light your way

You wake up, do what you need to, and give yourself the TLC you need. Take it easy on yourself, you’re doing the very best you can’t do everyday with the circumstances you were given. If you ask me that sounds like enough, and maybe try writing down 3-5 things you’re truly grateful for every morning when you get up. Even if it is just that you’re grateful you have undies on LOL gratefulness is gratefulness you know? 🥰

This is my self cure for the times when life seems like a curse. I try to do something nice for someone. It can be something little like opening a door for a mechanic who is carrying ladder and tools and trying to get in a building. It can be a genuine thank you to a service man, a police woman, etc. or slipping a $20 to someone in the checkout line who looks like they need help. Watching someone else’s face light up with happy joy because of something I did immediately makes me feel joyful, too.

Everyone copes differently…or needs to do things differently when they feel this way. But for me personally… I try to just keep going forward with work, and make sure I keep up with myself hygiene wise. Because for me personally, that can be the first to go, and that’s the thing that makes things even worse and can put me depressed for months. Another thing is my animals. They keep me going.
