I love to go out but when it comes to events and gatherings it's quiet a challenge. Always afraid that I may say the wrong thing or that I might get laughed at.

Don't attend parties. Slowly increase the amount of exposure you have to social experiences until you can tolerate that amount of anxiety.

my therapist recommended I chew on gum or a hard candy when i’m anxious because it sorta tricks your brain. When you’re anxious one of the things that happens is dry mouth, so chewing or sucking on candy produces saliva that can trick your body into thinking it’s not as anxious as it seems. It seems to help me in mild situations, along with drinking a cold drink to make you not feel as hot
