Hello all. I am dealing with a lot of situational stressors right now, so much that my anxiety is much higher than my meds can handle. I have finances, high bills, a lawsuit, trying to get visitation with my Grandkids, and unforseen repair bills on my one good vehicle. I have a second vehicle that is hobbling along at best and is unsafe to drive, and my sons are working on fixing my truck, but with everything else going on it is just too much. I am trying to get everything done but am also receiving flack from my wife who has suffered 6 mini-strokes and due to mood swings fusses whether things go one way or the other. I feel like I have no support from anyone around me other than the few kids that are helping me. I am also disabled so I can't just go somewhere to take a breather. Do any of you go through times like this? How do you manage stress when it seems to be attacking from every direction?

Are you spiritual at all? When many difficult things hit all at once like this, it seems to call for some kind of spiritual practice, whether it be prayer, meditation, or some other kind of mindfulness. Engaging in these helps to center you and guide you in a way. Also, as Moongirl mentioned, having a therapist can be very valuable.

@NOLA_Musician yes, I am a Christian and pray daily. I try to have faith to get through it, but it isn't a lack of faith, it's a chemical imbalance when everything does a domino effect on me. I am better today, so I am holding on to the upswing to see where it takes me. Thank you for your helpful reply.

I am so sorry to hear this. Do you have anyone you can talk to? Therapist? I’m going through a lot right now too, even went through suicidal thoughts today due to an anxiety med that didn’t work for me. My brain keeps trying to go into attack mode and I keep having to fight back and try to stay strong and just be around the ones that I love and try to stay busy. I hope you find relief
