Does anyone else deal with days or weeks of being irate…like punch a wall…yell FUCK at the sky…and then get “back to normal”??? I feel like I’m irritated at the world and hate everyone but I know it will pass. But this feeling sucks

I didn’t realize it but mentioning it being a trauma response helped me put everything into perspective. I have BPD/bipolar and am in a healthy great long distance relationship but when we go days without talking (due to external circumstances) I think it triggers my abandonment tissues and instead of getting sad I get angry…definitely will look up window of tolerance!! In terms of my menstrual cycle I tend to get extremely emotional…empathic…teary eyed…sensitive rather than angry the week before my period

Yes some tiny little thing pushes me over the edge and I want to burn everything to the ground (metaphorically of course) look up the window of tolerance my therapist showed me that and ways to increase my window of tolerance and that’s been helping me or DM me and I can tell you more

One particular time period of intense anger, rage and irritability turned out to be my PTSD was getting triggered throughout the day, every single day, without me realizing! I’m not sure if you are undergoing therapy specific to Anxiety and/or PTSD or have before but I highly recommend it. I will never cease being amazed by how deeply and widely my very being is affected by Anxiety and PTSD

Will I sound complete douchey if I ask if you have noticed whether it matches with your pre-menstrual cycle? I can't say I have had that experience per se; I have had at least one friend say they have noticed that about themselves relating to pre-menstrual hormones.
