Help please!!! I threw out my back at work back in November. I was diagnosed with having had a severe muscle spasm. It was so bad that the ER doctor said "oh, wow. I can see it without having to even lift your shirt". I have been going to physical therapy, and it's helped, but I keep having these random attacks of stabbing pain up and down my back and across my shoulders. The pain isn't even consistently in only one spot, though my lower back seems to most frequently be the worst. I've had xrays of my neck/shoulders and my spine and they're all structural normal. I've been given Toradol, Morphine, Hydrocodone and different muscle relaxers, but it only numbs the pain a bit, and only for a short time. Do any of you have any ideas, or have you had something similar happen?
