hello, does anyone on here have a good idea about how d.i.d and Borderline can have similar symptoms?

I think it has a lot to do with dissociating when feeling unsafe, especially during non threatening moments. I remember when I would go in clinic for therapy and quiet rooms triggered me, seeing kids toys triggered me, except I didn’t know I was triggered and I would “come out of my body” and feel like I was in a dream. Also when my ptsd is triggered and I believe I am reliving the exact night that fucked me up, i regresa to acting like a 6 year old child, thumb sucking an all, having the vocabulary of a kid - but I don’t have revolution of this. Only my friends that saw me do this told me about it bc it concerned them. I only become this child like person when I am extremely drunk and heteronormative couples argue around me and that’s not frequent.

@Chumky i really do understand that, i regress too i just shove it down and block it out cause it feels embarrassing for me- I used to have some major symptoms of D.I.D tho such as taking the back seat and losing memory of days or even weeks and then some really bad things happen and I ran from home and they're all gone except i still hear the main protector of the system sometimes and sometimes i feel completely out of control of my thoughts and actions but idk therapist said borderline and i said okay
