Concerns about Cymbalta and SNRI's

Hey all! I'm concerned about Cymbalta because a few years ago a psychiatrist told me I should avoid all SNRI's because Effexor gave me suicidal ideation. But this new psychiatrist has switched me to this bc Lexapro has lost its effectiveness.

      @Megsandpegs you definitely need to talk to your provider ASAP. I found out with a failed suicide attempt that landed me in the hospital for 6 days, I was able to see a psychiatrist who figured out that the medication (effexor at the time) wasn't working for me. I have my support system on high alert watching for any negative side effects with Cymbalta

      I have been suicidal most of my twenties and am Still! Taking cymbalta. Wish I could have switched. Really sucks.
