Struggling with Cymbalta after switching from Lexapro

hey! i’ve been on lexapro for the last two years and it’s been great but i wanted something more. like it’s been helpful, but i recently had some really bad stuff happen and i feel like i need something a bit stronger. so my doctor has switched me to cymbalta and i hate it so much. i have not been this depressed since before i started my meds and ive relapsed countless times. how have you guys responded to cymbalta? :)

      You may need a change in your dosage or might just need something else. Discuss this with your doctor. I've been switched between many different meds over the years.

      I haven’t been on cymbalta, but have been on countless other meds. But they impact everyone differently. There’s so so so many medications out there, so if one is causing u adverse effects, talk to ur doctor, and try something different! I also highly recommend therapy. Meds won’t fix everything unfortunately :(

      I'm not on any medications anymore but I was on Lexapro as a teen and it really wasn't good for me personally. I was quite mean according to my mom. I had tried paxil for a month and suffered sexual dysfunction (inability to orgasm) and I became extremely suicidal. Unfortunately the suicidal part hasn't gone away and it's been 3 months
