so im staying up all night most likley as theres no point in sleeping at this point and its hard to sleep on an empty stomach. im going in for my first ever colonoscopy tomorrow the prep is a pain in the ass, im reading online that im meant to essentially stop prep 6 hours before surgery but my instructions say to have my last load of prep at 8am then my operation is at 12:30 to me thats not enough time to essentially not be shitting myself anymore, i just soke to a nurse coz the hospital is open 24/7 she said it should be fine, i feel like it wont i have an hour drive to get there as well. what would you guys do in this situation? would u push the prep back to a little earlier if ur staying up all night anyway, i mean surley that couldn't harm me

I took my last prep 3+ hours before the required prep time and I was totally fine. Just make sure you are having liquid stools and are as clear as possible by the time you leave for your colonoscopy. Also make sure there is someone who can drive you afterwards. You cannot drive after being on anesthesia. Good luck!

Best to follow the instructions, they do this many times a day and know the best way :) from my experience everything came out following the first prep aha. Try and sleep, it's tiring and sleep will help

In this situation, it's best to follow the instructions provided by your healthcare team and trust their expertise. If the nurse said it should be fine, then it's likely that they have taken your specific situation into account. It's important to adhere to their guidelines for the best results during your colonoscopy.
