Dealing with Chronic Neck Pain and Swelling

I have been having pain in neck for about a year.. it recently has gotten worse now there is swelling in my neck and pain at best of my skull and turn my head either way...

That is something I can relate to. I had to start with X-RAYS because of insurance maybe the same where you live. I did notice the XRAYS come back with no answers. So ask your PCP for the X-Rays then move to an MRI or a CATSCAN. Be persistent because looking for answers for yourself you need to be your own best advocate. I hope with one of these tests you will begin to get answers.

I had to have surgery on my neck which was necessary but the after effects of the 8 to 12 hr surgery left me with C-5 palsy in my right arm which I got most of the use back but the muscles get so tight and the nerves cause so much pain! Be sure you research it and make sure you NEED it! Just FYI

Sorry it took so long but no my level of activity doesn't effect the pain level it's just there!
