I'm the same way. With my diagnosis I get really uncomfortable an paranoid. So I decided to just stop smoking.

I have schizoaffective disorder and I had to quit smoking weed. I smoked weed in my late teens early 20s then when I moved to oregan and it was legal I figured why not? So I smoked everyday for 3 1/2 months I got paranoia really bad sometimes. Sometimes I had manic symptoms. Then my meds stopped working and I had to be hospitalized. My doctor told me I had to stop smoking weed or it can cause me to have another episode. I thought weed would calm me down but with my brain it did the opposite.
