Struggling with Bipolar Disorder and Self-Destructive Decisions

It is really easy to slip into that, stress or anything else big added on to bipolar disorder is going to have an effect on your life. It doesn’t mean you are a bad person or anything you just have an illness and need help with it. Therapy really helps me to be able to acknowledge how I’m feeling, redirect my actions, and finding what I need help with and then going to get that help

I find I do this when circumstances get overwhelming and start to slip on managing things especially my boundaries. Once I start slipping I shut down and don’t deal with the issue because I’m either too exhausted dealing with my brain or scared I’ll blow up and hurt someone I really care about. Which I’ve done a lot in the past or completely cut them off without warning. I have to manage it before it gets bad otherwise I do it too. So now I know and really have to constantly check myself.
