@dolphinswimmer πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ» yeah having a daily routine is SUPER helpful. I'd say thats key πŸ—οΈ to keeping yourself stable. make sure to REST. not sleeping can induce mania & getting enough sleep is a key part of staying healthy.

I have been out of the psych ward since 2017 from suicide attempt before that I was in rapid cycling 5 times in a few months in 2016 for mania. After finding correct dosage I have stayed out of the hospital by eating meals at least 2-3 times a day, sleeping routine, taking medication daily, and talking to family on good days and bad

Do you have the option for outpatient treatment?! I did outpatient after my last visit in 2019 and it helped me so much. Also finding a good therapist you click with is key. Don't feel bad if you have to "fire" some therapist to find yours

I just remind myself what it was like in the psych ward & how I don't want to go back, that's enough to keep me taking my medication to prevent a manic relapse.

DBT helped me most. I'm also working on CBT with my current therapist. Group therapy was good to have as extra support for when I first get out of the hospital. Try pixelthoughts.co or texting "ctl" to 741-741 if you need a place to vent/find peace. There's a really funny helpful meditation called "F*** that: an honest meditation" on YouTube that also has helped me. I have bipolar type 2 (genetics), hallucinations (caused by lupus), CPTSD, GAD, insomnia, and a myriad of physical health conditions. You can DM me if you want 😊 I've been dealing with diagnosed bipolar since I was 8.

@SJP thanks for the suggestion! I'm in need of therapy and need someone new to vent to
