I need to get a new shrink and get evaluated for ADHD / OCD. I can't tell which it is because I get distracted by needing to fix or clean things and then end up in compulsive tasks 6+ layers deep (can't clean x till I clean y, need to fix the broken y container using z but z is dirty so I have to clean it...) and then eventually just have a meltdown. It prevents me from using the kitchen without help (e.g. from someone who can just ignore y and clean x some other way and move on).

      I relate to this. I have both ADHD and OCD and struggle with feeling stuck and overwhelmed frequently. I try to take mental breaks when I’ve gone too far down the rabbithole and remind myself of what the most important task is.
