I cant keep my room clean for the life of me no matter how hard I try and I thought it was my depression but I found out it's my OCD which just makes me feel like I'm stuck in my mess forever no matter how many times I clean it

@Whizzer BRO I’m so glad to hear someone say this. This is the first time in my life my room has been semi clean because I developed a habit to declutter once a day. At my worse, I would just trash everything from dirty clothes to important items because my perfectionism didn’t even want to deal with it. I’ve lost a lot of important belongings but I’m glad I don’t have that urge anymore :)

you’re not alone 💖 i struggle with the same thing. it’s okay to reach out for help and speak to a therapist about how to cope with it

The best thing I ever did was declutter. Sometimes with OCD and especially with ADHD/ADD, clutter can get to a point that it’s so overwhelming you’d rather someone throw it all away so you don’t have to worry about it. So I try to clean up each night before I go to bed so it doesn’t get too out of control.n
