Yes, I honestly haven't found a way to deal with it though

So my mood dips SO LOW during the week before my period, and doesn't usually come back up til it's been done for about a week. I also get incredibly angry. I was recently diagnosed with PMDD and my doctor added an additional 20mg of fluoxetine (prozac) for me to take starting 10 before my period and ending on day two. I've only just started this so I have no idea if it will work for me. It does help to remind myself that a lot of it is just due to hormones, but it can still feel like I lack control

It helps me to remind myself why I feel the way I do, like "I am extremely depressed right now only because of my hormones, and it will go away soon." It doesn't necessarily make me less sad, but it is comforting and helps me deal.

Yes, I use music, coloring, and writing to work through my feelings. I also watch tear-jerker movies so I have a reason to cry..

Some people experience premenstrual depression, also known as PMDD. Coping mechanisms include using the HALT method (assessing if you're hungry, angry, lonely, or tired), maintaining a clean environment, drinking cold water, wearing clean clothes, showering, going outside, talking to people, and practicing meditation and gratitude. Exercise, engaging in hobbies, and focusing on self-care activities like baths and stress reduction can also help manage symptoms.
