I have been extremely worried over the last couple of days. As part of my routine check up, my doctor called me over to discuss that he has found some abnormalities in my blood work. He says there is very high amount of white blood cells and protein in my blood. he mentioned that he would like to like to run further tests to confirm or rule out multiple Myeloma ..Has someone ever gone through something similar before? What did you do in this situation? I am 58 and I don’t know how I’ll go about all of this.

My granny once told me “ Worry pretends to be necessary yet doesn’t solve the problem”. Your worrying is legit and I completely know how it feels like because I was diagnosed last year. At first I would go through bouts of fatigue for no reasons, sometimes energy to keep up for the day was a problem. After some blood tests my doctor broke the news to me. Please don’t beat yourself down so much with anxiety, whatever the case maybe there are always many others who have walked this path and are doing ok.Let’s wait for the further tests from your doctors and whatever the case maybe , we’re here as a community to support you through.. Who knows it might be something else and not necessarily MM, let’s leave that to the doctors for now. I am bearing you up in prayers and just want you to know you’ll be ok don’t worry your head so much. cheers!
Hi you're warmly welcome amongst us and I appreciate the fact that you asking questions to make the right decisions.I’m a mother of 3 and I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in August this year. I had 6 cycles of chemo already , and my doctor says I have just a few to go. I am experiencing tiredness and dizziness. I take regular naps a day but it isn’t just that bad. Just trust God and keep praying
