Help !! My brain is dying!! I have been unwell since 2016. From 2014 to 2018 I was working in a chemical firm exposed to chemical fumes and droplets with no ventilation in the laboratory I was working in. From 2016 I have seen various neurologists, had 2 mri scans (1 privately) and was given various medications (amitriptyline, nortriptyline, pizotifin, Levitracetam all of these made me feel suicidal so I stopped taking them) to treat a chronic migraine with an aura which has no permanent cure which I developed due to exposure of chemicals including aromatic benzene solvents. During this period my blood pressure was low but no one investigated why and just informed me that my blood pressure is low but never provided the values. I then had covid twice left with long term effects including wheezing and extreme fatigueness. In May 2021 I collapsed three times in one day in a 30 minute period and I was rushed to a&e as I had facial injuries. My systolic blood pressure was 56. I was kept in for 3 days and discharged but was told further investigations will take place as they suspect I have syncope. It took nearly 1 year for me to receive a tilt table test which I had in April 2022. In May 2022 I was diagnosed with Vasodepressor syncope by a cardiologist and was informed that my brain is not receiving enough blood supply. My normal systolic blood pressure is 88 and below every day. This has impacted my daily lifestyle: I feel extremely fatigued, extreme brain fog (I feel like as I am on a completely different planet 90% of the time and under the influence of drugs which I don’t consume), difficulty in concentrating, brain is extremely slow. I was signed off from work in June 2022 to July 2022 but I got bored at home not doing anything so I went back to working from home. I have noticed how slow my brain is and it is starting to slow down even more like a laptop dying . I have no idea what I do when I am supposedly working as even I can’t justify what I have been doing for the whole day sat in front of the laptop. Where I used to complete 20 plus tasks per day I barely manage to do 3 tasks. Since 2017 / 2018 I have not had a MRI or CT brain scan. I also experience electrical currents running down my face for a few seconds at random times. The glands in my neck and throat always feel like they are swollen and I feel like someone is strangling me. Due to the extreme fatigueness I can barely walk. I can now only manage a 30 minute walk at snail pace. My head feels like it is too heavy for my neck to carry. I experience neck and shoulder pain. I rarely sweat and when I do it’s just a droplet in between my upper lip and nose area and I rarely feel warm. I am always cold. Even at 30 degrees Celsius as outside temperature I am either sat in my thick dressing gown or a thick cardigan. I feel warm at 32 degrees Celsius and above. I was also told by my dentist I have TMJ, I trialled out the mouth guard and after that my dentist referred me to a TMJ specialist who conducted X-rays and MRI scan which revealed both my discs are severely damaged and out of place. The TMJ specialist has now referred me to a senior specialist. I have been told by my cardiologist and TMJ specialist that my dizziness and brain fog is not related to my low blood pressure or tmj. I have had private blood tests done with medichecks, full eye health check up including scan and a hearing test by an audiologist privately. I took the results of this to my NHS GP and asked him I have done this what can you do for me. My GP has since sent me for further blood tests. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks
