Is there any way to access memories (probably held by other alters) that should exist where there are blank spots in my memory of my childhood?

I am not *exactly* the best person to answer this, as I have not accessed any memories that I know are in the gaps. As far as I know, alters generally have to share those memories. Depending on if you have a gatekeeper this can be easy or difficult. (Also depending on how willing alters are to share.) Remember that these alters were created to protect you and accessing these memories will not be easy and it will probably be very difficult to process without a therapist specializing in trauma. These amnesias are there for a reason. I'm not saying don't try!! Absolutely not, eventually ANPs will have to learn the trauma or parts of the trauma in order to reach functional multiplicity. (Or fusion if that's your goal)
I’ve heard therapy in general can help but I’ve been struggling with this now since being with my current (and amazing) therapist so we are looking into EMDR therapy to help connect the dots since I have tons of gaps and I personally can’t work through trauma properly without knowing about it and working through it in a safe space
