Does anyone else wake up in the morning in full anxiety mode or panic mode as soon as they open their eyes? It's really been hitting me severely for almost a month now. I know my physical pain and physical problems don't help but this is getting ridiculous. I'm on a low dose of Alprazolam compared to what I used to be on dosage wise but it's been 2 years since I've been on a lower dose so I know that's not the issue although if I take more in the morning I do better and less during the day but then at bedtime I really can't take any if I take more in the morning so then I'm up all night struggling with anxiety and panic and pain. Sorry for rambling I'm new to this and really fed up feeling like this after dealing with severe anxiety for 40 years.

I am new here too. I’ve had anxiety for basically all my adult life (I’m 50) and used to wake up similar to what you’re talking about. The one medication that has helped me is Propranolol. I’ve been on it for a few months, low dose twice a day, and I feel much more calm and even than I have in years. I hope your doctor can help determine what’s going on!

It's not fun that's for sure @Red_Princess.... I get blah feeling but not actually depressed although diagnosed with it but just sick of feeling this way !!!
@Hopefulone I can totally empathize with you. I have severe health anxiety since losing my mom when I was 15 (she was only 48), losing my oldest sister 4 years ago at the age of 55 and now I'm 55, and losing my dad in 2012 although thankfully my dad lived a full life despite his illnesses! Hugs 🤗 and ❤️ love sent your way! Praying you find help with this also since losing your husband 🙏🤗🙏🤗🙏
@PossumQueen I sure hope you made it through your allergy tests and are getting some much needed sleep.
I am new too. Welcome🤗 I also wake up anxious sometimes. Depression is the one hard for me to shake. I try to write a list of a few things to do during the day. It helps me focus
All I can say is I’m sorry. It sucks. I’m sitting in a four hour allergy test can hardly keep my eyes open because I only slept maybe five hours here and there. I’m tired of it all too dear. If I couldn’t laugh I wouldn’t want to live.
@Madge I'm 55 and omgracious I know how you feel.. it's enough to make you literally crazy not knowing and being told for so long it's normal. 🤦♀️🙄
@Oouchthathurts I wish I knew. My PCP wants me to go for blood work etc. I was researching about the inner shaking and it comes up it could be neurological, vitamin B deficiency, MS, Parkinson's etc. I have researched a lot and they all pretty much have the same symptoms as what I stated. I have my associates and 3/4 of my bachelor's in psychology and I'll be darned if I can figure this out. I'm starting to wonder if part has to do with my S1 disc pinching the nerve and my L4-L5 being ruptured for 12 years now but honestly I'm at a loss for figuring this out.
I get the internal like vibrating when my anxiety is really bad! I’m 32 and I have a lot of palpitations, pounding heart, skipped beats, all that and keep getting told it’s normal. 🙄
Do you have any guesses to what this could be ? My daughter is experiencing the exact same thing and we’ve done so many tests but nothing conclusive yet. Next is CATSCAN. At first I thought hypo/hyperglycemia ? Or maybe POTS ? Diabetes? She wakes up in panic and anxiety she has a hard time going to sleep in the first place, so insomnia. And lately she wakes up with the shakes she can’t get it to stop she has to ride it out.
I do too or pounding and idk why either but being 55 I'm getting really annoyed with it. I have severe inner shakes I still have to figure out what's causing them. Ty for letting me know I'm not alone at times feeling that way waking up.
I know sometimes I’ll wake up with a raising heart and idk why!
