Hey guys, I’ve had a symptom that’s been scaring me and was wondering if y’all have experienced this. When overstimulated or generally upset, I will have a full-body/torso reaction where all my muscle seize up and I twitch (often with my head going to the side). I have no control over this and have wondered if it’s a mentally linked thing. Like I’ve suppressed stimming for 25 years and this is my body’s response? I don’t know. It honestly just scares and hurts me and I want to figure out what it is and how to stop it.

My body doesn’t seize up but i do get super tense and my head twitches to the side, so your not alone. It usually calms down as the overstimulation does, I’ve also redirected the energy into squeezing something really hard, but other kinds of stimming might also work.
