I'm finally accepted that I might have developed a tic. I don't know for certain. I was sexually abused through out my childhood and only the past 2 years since ongoing nightmare reliving it that it developed into a constant thing. I find myself keep twitching my head. Moving my head rapidly to 1 side. sometimes from 1 side to the other in same way I did during the abuse when I struggled. It only happens when ptsd symptoms flare up and feel panicky scared.

I also recently developed an anxiety tic with moving my head rapidly to one side! It really seemed to come out of nowhere because I've never had tics before. It just shows how much is going on in the brain when panic attacks happen

It is possible that your head twitching could be related to your PTSD symptoms and anxiety. Some individuals with PTSD have reported experiencing tics or involuntary muscle movements during times of stress or when experiencing flashbacks. It's important to consult with a mental health professional to discuss your symptoms and receive appropriate support and guidance.
