I sent this to somebody earlier; hopefully, this helps. (I'm not too sure what to look up, but the three exercises I was taught are 1. Slowly breathe in and out while hugging yourself. 2 this works while standing up or sitting down; start by patting one leg and then the other leg going back and forth, at an average speed, then as you go back and forth, decrease the speed little by little. 3 close your eyes and imagine you’re at your happy place; mine would be the beach, so slowly start to envision what you would see like the sand, the water, birds flying overhead, then imagine all the different sounds you’re supposed to hear, like the waves crashing on the shore, the birds making sounds, or the crunch of the sand. Then imagine touching the water, feeling the warm sand under your feet, smell the saltwater wafting in the air, all while breathing slowly in and out.)

@dolphinlily25 I will definitely have to try out the leg patting intervention you said. That’s something I could do!! Thank you for sharing!

TLDR; No matter what happens, you will live through it and be okay ❤️ Here’s an example from my life and a coping skill I utilized: I had to get my blood drawn, which is an absolute anxiety nightmare for me. I’m also known to pass out and immediately throw up upon awakening when getting blood work too. So as the lady was finding a good vein in my arm, I went through these three scenarios: 1. You could have a panic attack. 2. You could faint and throw up. 3. You could be fine this time. It brought me peace to tell myself that no matter what happens, I will live through it and be okay. That’s been applied to a lot of other things too in my life ☺️

Deep breathing works for me 👍. But also having someone there for me as a distraction. Talking to me softly, holding me. But that's not how everyone is. You can try using your five senses. What can you touch, taste, smell and see
