@Thatgirl since it's getting warmer also a thing that has helped me is cold bodies of water like swimming in a river because it really does help get you focused on something else. Instead of the panic feeling you will focus on how cold you are.

I always do the “5 things I see, 5 things I hear, 5 things I feel” and it helps me to calm down

Tapping has helped me. If you search for "tapping for anxiety" on YouTube, you'll get some good videos that show you were to tap and guide you on what to say while tapping. :)

When I'm having a panic attack or really bad anxiety I get into a cold body of water whether that it a river in the summer or a cold shower I've noticed it tricks your brain on focusing on how cold you are versus your anxiety/panic attack. I have done this and it has helped me

Sometimes when I have panic attacks I text the crisis helpline. It has been amazing! You can text someone and they give you new ideas or things to try. I also like putting an ice pack on the souls of my feet. I will get cold enough that it helps me become grounded again.

@wheels78 you bet! You text HOME to 741741. They will walk you through it after that point.

Try researching progressive muscle relaxation. I find that can be a good way for my mind and body to connect and calm down. Also taking something cold and putting it on your body (mostly your upper back) can help you to reset and ground you quickly when nothing else is helping. I hope you’re feeling better!

@Cece7 it took about 7 hours to fully pass

@wheels78 I’m sorry it took so long but so glad it has passed! Try to remember after really difficult panic attacks like that that you survived, you made it through such a horrible experience and you are so strong for being able to do so. You got this!

when i have a panic attack my best advice that works for me is to watch a lighthearted show in my bed alone with weighted blankets over me but this is what works for me, find what works for u<3 nothing may help but it will help u cope just a little better during the panic- finding a good distraction helps

If I feel that way I find something else to focus on. Like a favorite movie or cartoons. Something I know won’t add to my panicking.

Do you have access to lavender or chamomile tea? Or a supportive friend? I'm so sorry hun.

@LadyBlkny I have a few friends but they are all busy or sick I don't want to bother them and I can't drink those tea options due to allergies

What techniques have you worked with already? I would download the app called calm harm and it always gives you things you can do in the moment to calm you down. Also I do suggest listening to the station Chillhop on YouTube. It helps a lot!
